Nothing much going on today… I am just going crazy working on the email server. That is about all that I am have been doing for days. It is amazing how much work can be needed to go into something like this. Min is sleeping a bit today, she did her double last night and has to work again tonight.

Andy and I went out and took care of the wasp infestation on the deck. There were a ton of wasps but it didn’t look like any of them were going to be a threat to anyone. They were about done for the year, I would say.

Nothing exciting today so I will keep it short and sweet. Scott out.

Min’s father got up early this morning and got to work in the basement sanding the drywall. That is the worst part of getting the theatre ready is the sanding. It is such an unbelievable chore. And because of the design of the theatre, there is no air in there either. And the air conditioning can’t be on because the system will suck up all of the dust and destroy the furnace. So it is hot down there as well.

We went over to the Omega Grill for a late lunch/really late breakfast. I didn’t get to stay for the entire mean, though, because I had to jet over to Jeremy’s for his family birthday party/dinner. I got over there around 2:00 and we ate not long after. We had dinner and watched Jeremy and Sara play Dance Dance Revolution Max on the PS2. That is always funny to watch. Then Jeremy had me help him with some of his Java homework that he has been doing. He is starting to learn to program and is having a really good time doing it.

Min couldn’t go to the party because she is working this afternoon and tonight, sixteen hours total. Her regular schedule is to work a double on Sundays now, which is nice because it means that she gets an extra day off during the week. But now I won’t see her until tomorrow morning.

I went out on the deck today to relax. I tried opening the deck umbrella and discovered wasps living in the umbrella. That was quite a surprise. So I launched the umbrella out into the lawn and there it sits waiting for me to take care of it.

Today is my cousin Jeremy Richardson’s fifteenth birthday, so Happy Birthday Jeremy!

Today Dominica and I got up nice and early and got to doing some final house cleaning. Her parents are coming out around noon or so and this is the first time that they have been to the house since last November so we wanted to make sure that the house was in order. We spent about three hours doing some hard cleaning before they arrived.

Her parents got in around noonish and brought tomato pie, half moons and jelly donuts. We didn’t have much time to socialize, though, because there was lots of work to be done in the basement and that is why they are here. So Min’s dad headed on down to begin working on the drywall. Min had gotten her mom a gift certificate to Knit-n-Purl in Brighton and so they went up there to go spend it. So they were gone for the afternoon. I had tons of work to do so I spent most of the time in the bedroom on the computer.

Min and her mom were gone for most of the afternoon and got back around the same time that my dad came over to visit. Dad stayed for an hour or two but didn’t want to go to dinner with us so he took off just before we headed out to find some food. Dad hasn’t had a chance to see Min’s family since November either. It has been a rough year.

Min’s parents have never been to Tom Wahls, even with all the years that Min went to college out here, and they love that kind of place, so we drove up to Avon to get some fifties drive in food. We had been hoping to be able to go to the Silver Lake Drive In in Perry but they were playing totally crap movies tonight so we couldn’t bring ourselves to sit through anything that they were going to be showing. Dinner was good. We didn’t do anything exciting afterwards, just drove on home.

We stayed up for a while visiting but everyone was tired so we got to bed early. There is no television or anything in the house right now because we took the projector down for cleaning and we aren’t planning on setting it back up again until we have the theatre room completed. That means that we are without any real means of video watching for some time now. But it is major encouragement to get to work on the theatre.

Today is a big cleaning day. Min’s parents are coming to visit tomorrow for the first time in almost a year so we wanted to get the house in as good of order as is possible. Min has been really busy winding down her second job so she has been way too tired to really be involved in any hard core cleaning until today. There is a lot to be done from moving boxes around to vacuuming to getting the basement ready for work to be done on it tomorrow.

I did some work at home, mostly homework that is late, and cleaned in between things all day. Andy helped with the cleaning and we got tons done. The house looks so much better than it has in a long time. Min even went and got flowers to put on the kitchen table.

Dad came over this morning and installed our chandelier that has been sitting in the dining room for a month or two now. We are really excited to have it up both because it looks a million times better than the old one but also because it is a lot more practical for us. The old one was really low and had five forty watt light bulbs that shown right down on your head and it was way too bright and way too hot to really use at all. The new one uses four bulbs that shine up to the ceiling and we were able to put florescents in them so we are using only sixteen watts for the entire fixture now. That was the last major bastion on incadescent lighting left in the house. Andy’s bedroom still has one, our bedroom still has one, the basement has one halogen that is almost never used and the laundry room has them. I think that is all. The florescents cost so much less than the regular bulbs and I think that they look a ton nicer. I hate incadenscent lighting, it makes me feel icky. And they give off way too much heat for me, I can always feel it. Anyway, the new chandelier looks really awesome and it ended up matching our ceiling fan in the dining room really well, it matches better than the original lights. So that is a big bonus. It does wonders for making the kitchen look nice and feel more usable.

Min and I did some cleaning today, her parents are spending the weekend here so we want the house to look nice. It is good that they are coming because it forces us to do some much needed cleaning. The house is so much dirty as it is just incredibly cluttered. The dining room is full of equipment that I needed for a job that I was working on and I need to get packed back up and shipped back out to them.
