Well, I had itended to go back to Geneseo yesterday but Min convinced me to stay out another day. So she left this morning to go to Ithaca and I headed back to Geneseo.

This afternoon, we decided that it had been far too long since we had an AoE2 game. You can look it up on here but I bet it has been close to two months. So everyone was itching to play. We managed to get six players, Andy, Tony, Jeremy, Phil, Josh and I together at short notice. Josh played remotely over our VPN connection. That was our first time trying that and once we got it set up it worked beautifully. We are hoping that soon Bob and Min will be able to play from Ithaca that way and Phil should be able to play from the hospital. It would make it so much easier if half of the people didn’t have to be physically sitting in the house. The number of people that get crammed into the house makes it really hard. We ony got two games in but it was really good to get to play again. We also created some new “tounament” rules that make the game a bit more exciting. We have been playing it for so long that we need to add little nuiances to make it more fun.

After playing, Tony and I went out to Denny’s for a late night snack.

I was supposed to be heading back to Geneseo tonight but Min wants me to spend the night here. It is nice sleeping here because we have a puppy to cuddle with.

I went for a long walk this morning around Frankfort and discovered all different parts of town that I never knew were there. It was a beautiful morning with a light rain. I had a good walk for about two hours.

This evening the whole family went out for dinner in Utica and then after that we went over to Min’s grandparent’s to visit for a while. We haven’t seen them in weeks.

Congratulations to Eric and Amanda who had their baby this morning. Julia Elisabeth Millen was born this morning without too much ado. Eric called us in Frankfort around 10:30 to let us know that everything was going okay.

Not much news to report while I am out in Frankfort. I am around the house most of the day and am working on quite a bit of homework and reading that I need to catch up on.

Today we travelled out to Gilbert State Park that is about an hour south of Frankfort. It is a small state park built around a man made lake made during the depression years. It was a nice day for hanging out by the lake (I am not sure the exact difference between a lake and a pond but I think this was mislabeled – or at least it should be qualified as on Ohio Lake. New Yorkers tend to think of lakes as being pretty large.) I got a lot of reading down out there and Min and I managed to get over a mile of walking in on the trails.

Tons of work to get done today before I head out to Frankfort. Min is heading straight out there from Ithaca this afternoon and I am driving out tonight.

I am sure that a lot of you have noticed that there have been some problem keeping SGL up and running. We changed out some hardware today and if we are lucky, the server will keep up and running. So, pay attention but we are very hopeful.

We have been having some problems with our telephones here so we are trying out some new phones today. They are charging today and Andy is going to try them out tomorrow.
