Boy have I slacked off on getting the dailies posted. Being back in Geneseo keeps me both really busy and not using my laptop. Between the two, I just don’t tend to get anything done.

After staying up late last night, I actually ended up getting up early today. Long before Min got home from work. I spent most of the day working around the house. Plenty of work to do with only a few days here at home. Min got home from work and decided not to go to bed but instead started working on spackling the basement theatre room in the hopes of getting it much closer to completion as quickly as possible. She ended up running out of spackle in no time. So we have to go shopping soon to get more of that and to get paint as well because we are going to paint the basement in the next few days.

Dad came over to Geneseo late this morning and had lunch with Min and I over at the Omega Grill.

Min and I went up and had dinner with Phil and Kate this evening at Cracker Barrel. I am borrowing Phil’s truck this evening to move some stuff over to dad’s house. We had to kind of hurry back from dinner so that Phil and Min would have enough time to get to work tonight.

So Andy and I began moving stuff over to dad’s around 11:00. We ended up taking two loads over to put in the barn. We moved the patio bar set over there because it has been taking up way too much room in the garage and the rest was just trash that needed to go over there. I had been doing a lot of cleaning in the basement and it had produced a tremendous amount of trash that needed to go somewhere. So that really helped clear up a lot of space in the basement.

After taking the two loads over, I ran the truck back up to Rochester and picked my car back up. Then I stopped by the hospital and did some work there and hung out with Phil for a while. I didn’t end up getting home until about 4:30am but I did get a lot done while I was at the hospital.

I am going to go ahead and post on July 1. I am leaving the wedding weekend blank because it was so busy that I had no way to write anything at all but I will be going back and filling it all in. So don’t forget to check back there and see the details.

This morning I worked at home while Min is still in Ithaca working at Lifestyles. I did a bit of cleaning around the house today to surprise Min when she gets home. I managed to clean the entire upstairs except for Andy’s areas.

I had to go see the doctor this afternoon about my foot. The doctor thinks that my foot is doing okay and that we should just keep going with the current treatment. So, we just keep plodding along.

Min got home around 6:00 and was pretty surprised with how nice and clean the house was. We hung out for a little while but she had to go to work tonight so we didn’t get see each other very much. So to make the best use of our time, we ordered a pizza from Mamma Mia’s and went down to the theatre and watched Rustler’s Rhapsody. That is a hilarious movie. I haven’t seen it since I was pretty young and it was all familiar but there was a lot that I really didn’t remember.

It was kind of weird waking up in an Observatory in Ithaca this morning. Min had to get up and get to work. I had a little bit more flexibility so I waited to leave until after she went to work. I stopped by the office for a few minutes but then headed on down to the State Street Diner to meet Bob for breakfast. I haven’t eaten at State Street in a long time. I bet it has been almost a year. Which is weird because I used to eat there a couple of time a week and then suddenly one day we moved away and I haven’t been there for almost a year!

After breakfast I drove down to Big Flats to go to the Barnes and Nobles. I had to exchange my copy of “Washington’s Crossing” again because the disk was bad in the exact same place. So I will try purchasing it at some other time from somewhere else because I am guessing that they just got a bad batch of them. So I exchanged it for one of B&N’s new Portable Professor series called “Patriots: Brotherhood of the Revolution”. I will let you know how that is. This new series is a series of lectures from university professors. This are actual lectures with an actual class sitting in on them. It is a pretty neat way to do these CDs. I think that it will be really interesting.

I got home in the afternoon and there was plenty to do just being home.

I slept in this morning. It is nice not to have too busy of a day for a change. I had realized yesterday that I had left my medicine in Dominica’s car so today I am driving down to Ithaca to retrieve it. It is a lot of driving just to get some medicine but it gives me a chance to see Min some more and I haven’t even seen her apartment down there yet. So I ended up leaving around 4:00. I had to swing by Leicester and get some stuff from dad on the way. Then it was on the road for me.

Min and I had been hoping to see Around the World in 80 Days but that wasn’t showing any later that 7:05 and I had hit construction on the way to Ithaca so we ended up missing it. So we decided to go to Watkins Glenn and do some shopping. We went to Walmart and got a new clock to hang in the hallway at home. It is a digital clock but decently attractive. It sets the time automatically from the US Atomic Clock out in Colorado. That is nice because, if the power goes out, you always have one clock with the correct time to set to. It also shows the indoor and outdoor temperatures which is really handy.

After shopping, we decided to go out to dinner and found a realy nice place on the waterfront in Watkins Glen, the Seneca Harbor Station. We were really impressed. Both the service and the food was really good. Not the kind of place that you really expect to find in Watkins Glen. But then again, the Finger Lakes are always surprising.

Well, I had itended to go back to Geneseo yesterday but Min convinced me to stay out another day. So she left this morning to go to Ithaca and I headed back to Geneseo.

This afternoon, we decided that it had been far too long since we had an AoE2 game. You can look it up on here but I bet it has been close to two months. So everyone was itching to play. We managed to get six players, Andy, Tony, Jeremy, Phil, Josh and I together at short notice. Josh played remotely over our VPN connection. That was our first time trying that and once we got it set up it worked beautifully. We are hoping that soon Bob and Min will be able to play from Ithaca that way and Phil should be able to play from the hospital. It would make it so much easier if half of the people didn’t have to be physically sitting in the house. The number of people that get crammed into the house makes it really hard. We ony got two games in but it was really good to get to play again. We also created some new “tounament” rules that make the game a bit more exciting. We have been playing it for so long that we need to add little nuiances to make it more fun.

After playing, Tony and I went out to Denny’s for a late night snack.
