Today Andy and I are travelling down to Ithaca to do some work. I overslept this morning by quite some bit and we got a late start. In fact, we started off so late that Min went to McDonald’s with Andy and I for breakfast. After breakfast, Andy and I headed on down to Dansville to make a toner delivery, then on to Ithaca.

We started off working for Autoworks this morning. That went really smoothly. Just a simple computer install but something always goes wrong but not today. After Autoworks, we headed on over to Lifestyles and did some work there. They were having issues with their network and we had to investigate. While I was working over there, Andy drove over to the bank and closed out his bank account that has been accruing fees while he has been gone because the bank wouldn’t allow him to close his account while he was away. So it ended up costing him a bit to do business with Tompkins County Trust Company. Even though he switched to another division of the same bank, they weren’t willing to take care of his account that he was transferring. I sure wasn’t impressed. I tried getting a home loan from them once too and they acted like it would be impossible for me to get a loan. But I have a house now. Hmm. Funny how that works.

We headed over to Time Warner Cable to return the cable modem that I have had all this time. I tried to return it months ago but the line to return it was hours long. So I figured that they didn’t want it very badly. On the way out of the Time Warner parking lot, Andy got flustered on the unmarked one way streets and ended up running a light and getting a ticket. Worked out well for me for once that I didn’t have a license. My drivers license expired yesterday because it was my birthday and I forgot to get into the DMV to take care of it. I will have to deal with it tomorrow.

Andy and I swung up to meet with Steve after we had all of our scheduled stuff in town taken care of. We worked at the house for a while and then went over to Little Venice for some dinner. We managed to head back to Geneseo around 6:00 so Min was pretty happy.

February 25, 2004: Happy Birthday to Me

I am 28 today.

Min taught again this morning at Keshequa. Today she taught Kindergarden. Another exhausting day for her. I worked around the house all day.

We finally decided to call an exterminator today because the mice have just gotten so bad. There is just nothing we can do about them at this point. We caught four more mice last night. Four!! Hopefully they will be able to do something about the mice soon. I hate to have to kill them but it doesn’t seem possible that they are still in the house and not continuously coming back in.

Min got home after work and we went out to dinner at The National with dad for my birthday dinner. We had a really good dinner. I haven’t eaten at The National in Cuylerville for years. Not since I was in high school or maybe before have I eaten there. Both Josh and Phil used to work there during high school.

After dinner Min and I watched some Keeping Up Appearences. Min only got a little time at home before she had to get off to work. Two shifts today, she is really worn out.

Andy and I are going down to Ithaca tomorrow to work so we headed off to bed fairly reasonably this evening because we are planning at leaving at a decent time in the morning.

I am a bit behind with updates again so I am going to post today and fill in the stuff that is missing over the next few days. I haven’t been sitting in the living room with my laptop much this week and that is when I get most of my work done on the site.

Phil and Kate came down this morning and we all went to Cornerstone Baptist here in Geneseo.

Phil helped me move a couch from my aunt and uncle’s house in Leicester over to our place. We are using the couch in the basement for watching movies. We don’t have enough furniture for the basement right now so we have to make due with something for the time being.

While we were watching some television tonight, we noticed a couple of young mice running around and playing in the dining room. They were jumping on each other and chasing each other around and squealing. I have never heard mice be so brazen with three people standing there staring at them. So, I had to get the mouse cubes out again. This infestation will never end. We can’t figure out how they are getting into the house. But they seem to just keep coming in over and over again.

February 21, 2004

Most everyone took off around 11:00 this morning. Jeremy had to get home and Josh and Phil had to get up to the city to help Chris and Shanda move to their new apartment. Min and I went back to bed after having only had two hours of sleep, more or less, last night. Boy were we tired today. We didn’t really end up getting out of bed until about 3:30 when we got up and headed over to my dad’s house to have some dinner and watch a movie with the family.

We all had Chinese for dinner and then we watched Radio with Ed Harris and Cuba Gooding, Jr. It was a really good movie. It is especially cool that it takes place in Anderson, SC because I spend so much time there.

Min and I decided to go out tonight so we drove up to the city and got some dinner at Denny’s up on the Ridge (we had been hoping for crepes at IHOP but they close too early) and then we went to Hoyt’s at Greece-Ridge to see Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen with Lindsay Lohan. I was a weird movie and not as good as we had been hoping. It was okay but nothing special. Not up to par with Freaky Friday at all.
