No game this week. Almost no one was going to be able to make it and I have to be up early in the morning in order to get down to Philadelphia for Jenn’s party so we decided that it was a bad week for it. Jeremy did come over this afternoon to play a few rounds though. Min still has to work tonight but other than that, not a lot going on. I turned in early so that I could be rested for tomorrow.

In doing updates to Ithaca Portal, I have noticed that just about all of our competition down there has packed up and gone away. Good news for us. We have held on a whole lot longer than any of them did and we aren’t planning on going anywhere. And I still think that we have had the best service all this time anyway.
I slept in late this morning after working so late last night. Nothing scheduled for today so that works out. I really appreciate slow days. I wanted to play some video games today but never got a chance. Min slept in until well after six so I just kept on working.
I have made the decision that I will start referring to male friends as blokes. Far too few Americans use this term.
Okay, I am terrible with having to have bad jokes. This one has been around for a while but there has to be a place for people to find over and over again as they look back into the archives. So, here we go. Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him…. what? (Oh, man, this is so bad, it’s good) A super callused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.
I had to run over to see dad this evening so Min and I only ended up seeing each other for about an hour all day. We watched the last disc of Ranma 1/2. That is a really great show. I can’t wait until we are able to get the second season. After Min went to work, I watched some Monarch of the Glen.
I forgot a while ago, Eric sent me this link that he thought that everyone should go to.

I was up very early this morning. 4:45 I managed to jump out of bed and get started on the day. That is the earliest that I can remember being up in a very long time. I was actually ready to go by 5:45! Cory and I were supposed to be driving down to Binghamton to do sales today. However, Cory didn’t wake up this morning until after eleven so we didn’t get to go. I am glad to have the day at home though.
I worked most of the day. My big accomplishment is that our corporate instant messaging system is finally up and running. I have been really trying to get that up soon. We think that it is going to be a major piece of our strategy with our clients giving them a good way to communicate internally, with each other and with us. This is my first time working with an IM server so I had a lot to learn to get this all set up.
The weather wasn’t too bad today but dad got snowed into the house and couldn’t leave. Eric came down this afternoon so that we could go to the Livingston County Chamber of Commerce “Business After Hours” meeting this afternoon. This was Eric’s first time at a chamber event. This time the event was held at Livingston Health Services just up the road. It was very handy. We had a good time. We made good contacts and they had good food as well.
Eric and Amanda came over for dinner this evening. Min cooked up some vegetable korma (thank goodness for our cookbook collection.) She also made chocolate bread and butter pudding which was really good.
Min and I watched some Father Ted before she went off to work. I stayed up and watched Ranma 1/2 which is a really good anime series. Luckily we have it both subbed and dubbed so that I can watch it while I work on the computer.
I had to work on Ithaca Portal because so many restaurants and things have closed up in Ithaca recently. Not only do restaurants close, but tons of websites just fold up and disappear. I have no idea how this happens so regulary but it sure does.

Lots of driving today. Min and I had to get up very early and hit the road for Ithaca. I have a lot of work to do down there today. Min has to collect her medical records so we are both going down.
The weather was pretty bad for the trip. It took us almost three hours to get down to Ithaca. I went to Lifestyles and did some work and then headed off to a couple of other places. Min ran all over the place getting her medical records.
Steve and I went up to Little Venice in T-Burg for some lunch. Min joined us a little later. Then she and I took off to get to Rochester because I had an interview with Robert Half International. But, it turns out that to work for RHI you have to sign your life away and so I decided that I wasn’t going to waste my time with them. Their paperwork and interview process is completely ridiculous. I interviewed with them in 1999 and in the past five years they have failed to contact me even once, even after they claimed that my interview went really well and that I tested incredibly high on their skills assessment. So I don’t feel bad that I didn’t bother going through that waste of time a second time.
So we got home kind of early. We didn’t do anything though. We pretty much watched some Fawlty Towers and went to bed at 9:00. I was pretty tired by the time we turned in.

This morning I headed on over to Arcade with Cory to do some sales. We didn’t have a very productive day. The weather was so cold and the driving was so bad that we only managed to do Arcade before we had to call it a day.
I am going to have to check with Min because I don’t remember Monday very well.
