Min and I went to church at LaGrange this morning and then went to the Fitch Farm (just behind Nate’s family farm in Perry) for a surprise birthday party for Sydney our Pastor’s wife. We had a really good time and got to play with some sheep that had just been sheared the day before so Dominica got to see what wool looked like just off of the sheep. It was pretty cool and the sheep were really friendly. You could feel the lanolin on the wool.

Min and I went out to Rochester today to see Leanne’s productin of Bye, Bye Birdie at Perry High School. While we were out there we did some hunting for someone to make a cake but we haven’t found anyone yet, for sure. Min did get a chance to look at some dresses in Geneseo. After all that, we went and look at the florist in Perry.
The show was good. The kid who played Mr. MacAfee was phenominal. He really stole the show and he did all of the choreography too! We couldn’t believe it. A really talented kid. And to top it all off, he was only a sophomore!
After the show, Min and I were planning on going up to Rochester to see Matrix 2 but we were awfully tired and needed to get up in the morning so we decided against that.

Another busy day for Scott. This morning we had an emergency at the Lifestyle’s office that demanded my attention and then I spent about half of the day in a meeting. After having been away all week, I was glad to have the evening to myself to catch up on everything that needed to get done around here.

I got out of bed around noon (I didn’t go to sleep until after 5:30 so I don’t feel so bad.) I immediately got moving and hit the road for Rochester. I had to spend the day working with dad on the project that I had been in DC for. We worked for about four hours and then I drove back down to Ithaca. I went to bed early. I was awfully tired today.

Today was meant to be an early day for me without a whole lot of work, but of course, that didn’t happen. I waited around for a long time at the house so that John and I could get some work done this morning. We ended up working over lunch and I headed into the hospital after that. By this time it was a little bit late in the afternoon so I stopped by Borders and Walmart so that I could pick up some CDs to listen to in the car on the long drive back to New York after work.
I worked in the office trying to get a functional remote access and control system in place for our desktop computers down there. It ended up taking much longer than I had planned and instead of leaving between noon and 3:00pm to head for New York like I had planned, I ended up leaving the hospital at 9:30pm. Oops. So it was a late start to begin with. Then, on the way up 95, there was an accident that slowed traffic considerably. But the real delay came in northern Pennsylvania when a dump truck flipped dumping a load of garbage onto the highway. Of course, I was the first car to get to the accident after the police and the fire department had blocked off the road with flairs. So I ended up spending hours sitting on the road waiting for them to clear it so that we could all get through. I spent some time hanging out with the truck drivers and bikers who were also stuck waiting for an accident at 2:30am. Boy was it late. I got some reading done that I had wanted to do so the time wasn’t totally wasted. Just goes to show how important it is to always have a book along in the car, even when you don’t think you will have the chance to read it. I ended up getting to bed around 5:00am! Boy was I tired.
