DuoLingo Streak: 107 Days

Monday.  I am down in Houston with my family!  I really miss the kids when they are away.  It’s very tough being away from them.

It has been good that Liesl has Telegram now because it is much easier for us to talk to one another when she is away.  But Luciana cannot read or Telegram yet, so we lose contact.  And she does not have her own phone yet, either.

A light rain here in Houston today.  It is not nearly as cold as up in Dallas.  Although it did freeze last week and the girls got to play in the snow here!

The girls are still doing school every day while down here in Houston.  Since I am here now, I am helping out with classes.

There is Crown Royal and Egg Nog here in Houston, so that has been enjoyable.  Perfect for the chilly weather.

It was in the mid-fifties today.

DuoLingo Streak: 106 Days

Sunday.  I spent the day working and getting the car packed up and ready to go down to Houston.  This is my last bit of a day at home alone.  I got on the road in the early evening and did the five hour drive down to Houston to see the family.  I will be down there until after Christmas.  We have heard that a freeze is going to be coming and we are going to need to be back up in Dallas for that because our house famously freezes at the drop of a hat and we can’t have frozen pipes when no one is around.

This is the end of ten days home all by myself.  It’s been very lonely.

DuoLingo Streak: 105 Days

Saturday.  Today is my last day home alone this year.  My last full day, at any rate.  I will be driving down to Houston to see everyone for Christmas tomorrow night.

Friday.  Still alone up in Dallas. Worked all day, very busy.  Had an evening meeting that I had to go out for for a while.  Got home late and watched a movie, but oddly did not record what movie it was.

Thursday.  I’ve been doing loads and loads of work on my SAMIT YouTube channel.  I want to get a lot of work done so that it is ready for me to be away for a while during the holidays.

I’m still home alone here in Dallas, so I’ve been buckling down and working all week.  The family is enjoying their time in Houston with their cousins.
