Thursday. At the farm today. Lots of writing and posting today. The girls are maniacs, as always, and have been playing with balloons around the house for days.

Wednesday. Breakfast this morning is goat cheese and crackers. Delicious. Nothing like Upstate New York goat cheese.
Otherwise it was a very quiet day.
I woke up at seven thirty, showered and was out the door at eight twenty. Dominica was just getting up when I left this morning.
I spent four and a half hours working out of the NTG offices down the street today. We had a very productive morning. This is the longest that I’ve worked fro the office in years.
It was around one when I was back up at the house. I found the girls playing outside in the yard with grandpa. It was a beautiful day and they were playing with the giant blue bouncy ball and running around the yard. Dad had a bubble machine going as well.
I had a very busy writing day set up at the kitchen table. And working on tech projects. Today I began the first work on my online book on Windows Server Administration, which came across as very popular in its first few hours. I am excited to finally be working on it, it has been on my plate for a very long time and there is a lot of stuff that I am looking forward to investigating. This will be a fun project. I am working on building out Active Directory and Remote Desktop Services today.

This afternoon Dominica and I began tackling the stuff that is being stored in dad’s garage. We made it through many boxes today and are doing a really good job of eliminating stuff. We want to get rid of nearly everything and so far, we are heading in that direction. Almost nothing is being kept, which is pretty amazing for us. We struggle so much with wanting to keep everything, forever.
I’ve also been heavily tackling the books and music and boxes that I have stored in my old walk in closet from my old bedroom. I found my old Chia Pet box that still had a packet of seeds in it! My grandmother gave me that Chia Pet when I was just little, probably around eight years old if I was to guess. I don’t know where the actual pottery is, but for some reason I found the box. And the box for my SNES and my Nintendo 64 and loads of game boxes.
This evening we ordered pizza in from Papa Roni’s in Pavilion. Everyone felt like something simple tonight.
We are pretty tired this morning after being up so late last night watching the movies at the Silver Lake Drive In.
I spent the morning on my writing and posting. It was a busy morning since I had to sleep in for so long.
This afternoon we ran the four of us over to Geneseo to go to the post office there so that we could work on our passport renewals. That was a one hour and $500 process but, hopefully, we will have our passports ready to go in under six weeks. It will be five years before the girls need new ones again and ten years for Dominica and me. We had to get the big passports this time, the ones with double the pages as we go through them so quickly.
This afternoon dad hooked up the hay wagon and we took everyone out for a ride around the farm. We got lots of great pictures and videos of the ride. We had a lot of fun. The girls really liked it.

A quiet Sunday morning at dad’s. We were pretty relaxed and took it easy. Our plan was to to down to Aunt Sharon and Uncle Leo’s this afternoon so that the girls could play with the cats. I ended up having a very busy day of working on the phone for several hours today that were unexpected, which interrupted our schedules quite a bit.

Around six we went to Sharon and Leo’s and got about an hour there before we all went to the Charcoal Corral for dinner and met up with dad who had been at church. Dominica and I both got salmon burgers for dinner and they were delicious.
After dinner it was just the four of us, Dominica, Liesl, Luciana and me, watching the movies at the drive in. We saw The Secret Life of Pets first which was pretty boring and not at all worth sitting through. The first five minutes were cute and funny, but that five minutes is what was shown in previews months ago and I had already seen it more than once. Literally the preview was just the beginning of the actual movie, as shown. And once that was over, the cute and funny movie was done and the boring crap was all that was left.
After that we saw the live action “Legend of Tarzan” which at the very least was not the old story retold but a bit of a different take on it, but still totally uninteresting and banal. I really wanted to sleep through both movies, but was unable to fall asleep. Luciana did climb into my lap and fall asleep during the second movie, though. She slept so thoroughly that the next day she did not even remember that there had been a second movie!
