Medifast Status: Day 315, Down ~77.5lbs (22.5lbs to go)
March 4, 2012: Weekend Coverage
Medifast Status: Day 306, Down ~76.5lbs (23.5lbs to go)
I’m on the weekend coverage for the office this weekend so in addition to getting up early yesterday and working much of the day I am stuck at home and working pretty much all day today as well.
Today was, overall, pretty much productive. I did just tons and tons of work and did not come out of the office very much. I got a lot of stuff done that I have been needing to complete so I feel good about that. It is just a long weekend.
March 3, 2012: Status Day
Medifast Status: Day 305, Down ~76.5lbs (23.5lbs to go)
I had to be up early this morning so that I could do work for the office. I had to start work at seven this morning. I worked for a couple of hours.
I put in a lot of time working on system migrations today and built a Status.Net server which is pretty interesting. It is like running my own Twitter system.
I worked a lot today. It was a very work-heavy day. I was in the office pretty much the entire day.
Dominica went out shopping today. Then, this evening, we started watching Downton Abbey which I have been hearing a bit about. We really enjoy it and watched several episodes.
March 2, 2012: New Blinds
Medifast Status: Day 304, Down ~76.5lbs (23.5lbs to go)
On my drive in this morning I produced a second podcast. I kind of like podcasting from the car, it is a good use of my otherwise wasted time.
I had to make a trek over to UPS today to send out some packages. So I combined that trip with a run over to Medifast for my weekly weigh in. I actually had a pretty good weigh in this week. It was a record low weigh in for Medifast but not a record low weigh in for me personally. So no new goal for me today.
Today was another extremely busy work day. Once again, like yesterday, I got stuck working right through lunch – my UPS run and Medifast stop used up any spare time that I had. No break for me.
I did some script writing today and now have a script that monitors for spurious activity on the PBX. That will come in real handy.
This evening Joe was over and he helped hang the blinds in the living room. They look great. We won’t have a really good feel for them until tomorrow when there is sunlight but as of right now they really look good and they actually make the living room much brighter at night because they hold so much more light in the house rather than having our living room lights light up the front yard. They are very attractive. I’m quite glad that we got these.
The new blinds are translucent but are multi-cell so they block an awful lot and they insulate, we hope, significantly.
March 1, 2012: PBX Hacked
Medifast Status: Day 303, Down ~76.5lbs (23.5lbs to go)
My morning started off normal enough today. I went in to the office and normal time thinking that it would just be a normal day. Wrong.
On my drive in to the office I made a podcast on the drive using the Tascam digital recorder that I bought a few years ago on a drive from Texas to Philadelphia. That digital recorder is awesome. It really does a great job and really easily. It was a pretty rough podcast and an internal use one, not something for posting on here, but it worked out well. My short commute is handy for limiting the amount of time that I can spend on it.
As soon as I got into the office we discovered that our PBX was hacked and was making international calls. It didn’t take long to get it locked down but it did not make for a fun day at all. I spent the entire day working on lock-down methodologies and monitoring. That was really annoying.
Work was pretty busy today and I was actually so busy that I ended up working right through lunch. Not fun, that makes for a very long day.
Today was really just busy, nothing else to tell.
