It is Friday and I went in to the office today. For this one day I do not need to drive a truck nor move any furniture. Today is my day to “recover” between the driving and the moving. I am not looking forward to tomorrow.
July 22, 2010: Long Haul Truck Driving Man
I woke up this morning in southwestern Virginia, in a sleepy little town called Salem. There is a lot of road between me and Dallas. I did not make it nearly as far yesterday as I had hoped that I would have. It is going to be extremely late by the time that I make it back to Texas.
July 21, 2010: Off to New York, Again
I went to bed just after midnight and was up at a quarter after three this morning. This is going to be one very, very long day. Not as long for me as for the Ralstons, though!
Art and Danielle were up at one thirty this morning (Eastern, I’m still on Central) and on the road to Peekskill.
July 20, 2010: Our House is Rented!
An hour after getting home this evening from work, we were confronted with the awesome news that our house in Peekskill has been rented. However, much to our surprise, it was rented – for today! The new tenants are not ready to move in until tomorrow morning but the lease began today.
Yes, read that again, the house rented for today and the tenants are going to move in in the morning. Okay, now that panic sets in.
July 19, 2010: Beginning of a Normal Week?
I am very glad to have a mostly normal week ahead of me with very little going on. Last week was rather something with me working all week, driving from New York to Peekskill to Philly to DC to Dallas and speaking twice. Too much. I need some down time.
