Liesl is still sick today. Today marks one entire week since she first started getting sick. A whole week! That is a long time in the life of a baby. Her nurse practicioner had made a big point of saying that this was a twenty-four hour stomach bug and that it couldn’t be the flu because it didn’t last a week. Well, here we are, it has been a week. Apparently it never occurred to the NP that a week long flu has only lasted for one day when you are just one day into it? Even little children know that that doesn’t make any sense.
November 1, 2009: Working Overtime on a Sunday
How can it be November already? This month (and this year) have just flown by. Liesl turns one year old later this month! And we have a trip to Walt Disney World coming up in a few weeks too! I can’t believe how quickly that has snuck up on us. It feels like I never stop traveling.
October 31, 2009: Hallowe’en
Today was my sick day. First Liesl, then Dominica and no me (and still Liesl.) Not really, really sick. But some. So after getting a chance to play Oblivion last night for an hour I decided that today was going to be a day without work in which I got to play Oblivion. It has been a really long time since I had the opportunity to actually sit down and spend a day just relaxing and working on my character development. It was great, even if I did have to be sick for it to happen.
October 30, 2009: Liesl Has a Better Day
It was about three o’clock in the morning when we got home from the hospital. What a long night. No real sleep for us. Maybe three hours at best. No sleep for poor little Liesl either. What a rough night she has had.
I was hurtin’ when I got up to start work this morning. I slept in as long as I could but that was not very long.
October 29, 2009: Liesl Goes Downhill
Liesl was quite a bit worse today than yesterday.
