Sheep Guarding Llama

It is a video gaming Saturday morning with my Liesl.  We are taking it easy today and spending family time together.  I’ve been missing my kids, a lot!

Luciana wanted to do science experiments and make slime at home today.  Dominica did slime with Liesl so she said that it was my turn to do it now.

I got her all suited up as there are some slightly caustic chemicals involved.  Dominica said that the chemicals really bothered her skin, even with light contact.  But we had extreme issues getting the slime to form (it turns out the glue was really, really old) and I had to have my hands in the chemicals for a good thirty minutes and it didn’t bother me at all.

We did a couple of batches because things did not turn out very well.  But in the end, we managed to make some slime.

Liesl and Luciana both wanted to play chess today.  We played quite a few games.  The girls are both getting much better at it.

So we just made it a family day of hanging out.  Luciana enjoyed playing with her slime for quite a while once we got it right.

Friday the thirteenth.  Funny that this is such not a thing that this happened and not one person that I know even mentioned it.

As sometimes happens, today was busy and at no point did I even manage to make notes about what I did today.  We are just back from being in New York so I am very far behind still on work, and any spare time is spent with Dominica and the girls as we’ve been apart so much.  So I did not get to blog today, nor even post on social media or anything.

The girls did school today, mostly on their computers.

So no real notes for today.  At least Dominica and I were able to go out last night together.  But today was very busy.

Thursday. My morning started off with loads of Sage 50 (aka Peachtree) corruption issues.  So I got to spend a few hours working on that first thing this morning as we have a lot of users.

Breakfast today was a fruit smoothie.  I am really enjoying those.  Frozen berries, chocolate peanut butter whey protein.  It’s actually quite tasty.

Later in the morning, it was time to support printer issues.

I built and rolled out another Rocket.Chat server today.  It’s been a month of Rocket.Chat, for sure.

This evening, Dominica and I managed to get out for a date night alone.  We went to a club and did some dancing and had some drinks.  It was nice to get away.  Very handy having Paul living with us, we have a babysitter now, without it being a big hassle.

Wednesday.  So much to do, now that we are back in Texas, that there was no time to write anything today.  I was in the office all day working like crazy.  So much to do and catch up on.  Being away for a week, plus four days of drive time when I am in the car and cannot do anything, really takes a toll on my free time.

Tuesday. Got up this morning and the first order of business was returning the rental Nissan Rogue to Love Field.  So that took about at hour to kick off the day.

Much to do today, it is a very busy day and is going to be a busy week as I attempt to catch up a bit.

I hung out with the girls as much as I could this evening, but they have been pretty peopled out this week being non-stop with their cousins and grandparents.  They were pretty excited to get along time with their devices and just quietly watch some shows for most of the evening.

It is nice to have everyone back home.  It has been a lonely month without my family.
