Sheep Guarding Llama

Originally I was supposed to be working in Ithaca today but my schedule got changed and I get to stay around Geneseo.

I worked a little up in Rochester today while Min was working at Youngs and Linfoot. It is rare that I am able to get online and check my messages so I take the chances that I am able to get. At least the travel time up to the UofR isn’t too bad. Andy called from Puerto Rico while I was in Rochester. He said that things are going well down there but he is getting tired of eating chicken all of the time. He is hoping to be home early this weekend, maybe Saturday. But he doesn’t really know when he will get to return.

I have family in town visiting from Ohio and Florida. So Min and I headed down to Leicester for a family dinner. We had a good time. Mom and I ended up working for a while while we were there. We have applied for reseller status with Ingram Micro, the largest wholeseller of computer and network hardware and software.

It is hard for me to update the website because I do not have any access to the Internet most days. We are without phones, Internet or mail right now. I am updating the site on my laptop as I can. It will be pretty occassional that I am able to actually get the updates to the server. I hope that situation will change very soon.

I am just taking this weekend to get some work done around the house. This is only my third actual day of being in the house so I am just happy to be here. I will be updating the site as I can but it is pretty impossible at this point. There is a ton of work that needs to be done in the house from clearing the garage out a little bit to getting things hung up on walls and everything in between. The basement is still a disaster too.

This was a short trip to Washington. Only two days. That is probably the way that it should be. In short bursts, things tend to get done a little bit faster. Today we got the computer at Children’s National Med Center all set up and ready to go. But, late in the day we discovered that the barcode scanner that is supposed to be used over there is not working with that computer so we have to get a new one and ship it down there. Figures that after all that work, there is still a major issue like the scanner not functioning. I headed back to Geneseo late in the afternoon after getting Children’s relatively squared away.

Back in DC again. Just a short trip this time. Two nights at the Comfort Inn.

I really wanted to get some Domino’s pizza and cheesy dots today but I got back to the hotel so late that I didn’t get a chance to. Instead, I went out to dinner with John and Michelle to Macaroni Grill in Annapolis. I have never been there before. It is very comparable to Olive Garden or any other cookie cutter Italian Restaurant.
