November 10, 2018: Craft Shopping and Movie Night

Saturday. Today it was time to take Luciana to the craft store. She has been asking to be able to go because she wants art supplies. So everyone decided to come along for the trip.

We drove out to Plano to go to Michael’s. Paul and I hit the liquor store in the plaza while the girls hit the craft store. Then we joined them.

Luciana looked at loads of paints and art supplies and picked up a few things, including a huge supply of canvases. Liesl looked through things and found all kinds of cool educational kits that she asked for for Christmas. She really wants E=MC2 stuff.

Liesl and I had a movie night tonight. First we watched Harry and the Henderons which is something that I have been wanted to show her. She liked it. It is such a classic. I’m very happy that she liked it because it is old for her and that is always a risk that she will not like it just because it is old.

The we watched National Treasure which I tried to get Liesl to watch previously but she did not want to see. Finally I talked her into it and she liked it.

November 9, 2018: Best Worst Weekend Ever

Friday. Up and to work around eight. Made coffee at nine. Overall it was a pretty slow day.

Paul went out to go grocery shopping, and to pick me up some wine, this afternoon.

At around three thirty Dominica took the girls out to go out to a playground.

This evening Liesl and I hung out and watched the Netflix series Best. Worst. Weekend Ever. She really liked it and decided that she liked the idea of LARPing and wants to do it sometime.

November 7, 2018: Interview Day

Wednesday. Well the election did not go as well as we had hoped, especially here in Texas. It did not go badly, per se, but could have gone much better.

Rodrigo and I spent much of the day doing interviews, in Spanish. That is quite challenging for me. We have a lot of people to interview. We need a new tech support person and we have people from several countries interviewing for it.

November 6, 2018: Voting Day

Tuesday. This morning I worked pretty solidly. Dominica and Paul managed to go out to vote this morning.

I went out around two thirty to go vote myself. Go Beto! I had to go up to a church off of Rosemead to vote. An odd voting location. Ended up chatting with one of the voting assistant people for a while, met the pastor, etc.
