Sheep Guarding Llama

Another crazy work day. So busy that, again, I was not really online today at all. I recorded absolutely no activities for myself. Missing the family by now. The kids are having fun in New York with their cousins, though. Dominica and Madeline are well into their trip.

Tuesday. Started the day with a morning conference call. Right at eight. These constant morning conference calls keep me on a bit of a schedule. Normal work day.

I cracked open a PBR at six thirty.

Monday. Back to normal, head down work. Had another busy day, which is good. This is my month to do nothing but work.

I worked until late, then at seven thirty ordered in some dinner. The fridge was empty, so needed food delivered.

Father’s Day.  All alone today.  Paula remembered to wish me a happy Father’s Day from Romania.

I managed to have a quiet Sunday.  Did some work, but took some time for me, too.  This evening I made it a Netflix evening in Spanish and checked out the movie Ocho Apellidos Vascos whose name “Eight Basque Surnames” makes perfect sense, but whose English title “Spanish Affair” makes little sense.  It was a bit odd, for sure, but I really enjoyed the movie.  And boy do I miss Spain.

I liked the movie so much that I just went straight on to Ocho Apellidos Vascos 2.  The sequel was not nearly as good as the original, but still enjoyable.

It was a fun night of Spanish films.

I figured out that in the summer when we are running on air conditioning, I actually keep the house around eighty degrees when no one else is home. I would never have guessed.  But with the place to myself I do not mind the heat and just put up with it.  It is actually pretty comfortable.  I was actually getting a little chilly when I let it drop much more.

Saturday. Did some work this morning. Did some relaxing. Then for lunch I decided that I felt like some Subway. There is a Subway not far from the house, and it was a clear day and I wanted some exercise. So I set out for a walk out to Subway going through the Greenway and through the alleys. It was super hot and a pretty long walk. But I felt like I really earned that Subway sandwich.
