Tuesday. Liesl got up this morning and started playing Skyrim first thing before school. That typically does not go over very well, though, and school was not a fun time today.
After school was over, both girls played The Escapist all afternoon.
And that was our day.
Monday. This afternoon I took the girls to the playground. They love it there, and the weather is perfect now, not so hot. We went during the day, so almost no one else there, they get the run of the place.
On the way home we picked up Taco Bell. The girls have discovered that they love quesadillas.
This evening we did a trip to the Carrollton Public Library. The girls love going there and we keep discovering new things for them to do while there. Tonight they discovered that there are iPads loaded with educational games in the kids exploration room. They were having fun checking those out tonight.
Time to fall back on the clocks if you are in the US. A totally gorgeous fall morning here in Carrollton, Texas.

Dominica made tuna steaks for dinner tonight. Luciana loves tuna steaks!
The girls and I spent much of the day playing Skyrim together. They are both so into that game. And it is meant for adults, so they tend to find it very educational. It requires a lot of skills that kids’ games rarely have.
Dominica watched the second season of 24 today. I tried watching the first season with her, but it was so awful that I can’t sit through another season with those awful characters.
Saturday. I got up first thing, made the coffee, went into the living room to play video games but Liesl was up shortly after me and came in and I gave her the Steam system so that she could play Skyrim. So I hung out with her for a while while she gamed today.
It was good to get some quiet family snuggle time after being away for a week.
Dominica baked a peach cobbler this evening. Yummy.
Friday. Today we are heading back up north to Dallas. We’ve been in Houston for several days, we came down to celebrate Halloween.
This morning we were packing. It took us until about ten in the morning to get the car loaded up and start our drive north. So the whole middle of our day was driving.
It was late afternoon when we got back to Dallas. So the work week was essentially over. I’ve been hearing very little from the office anyway, I’ve been waiting to “go to Qatar any minute” for a couple of weeks and there has been no movement. They are quite obviously stalling at this point.
This evening we ordered in Chinese for dinner and Dominica and I started watching the second season of Stranger Things which is just an awesome show.
We ended up completely binging the show and we completed the entire season in one night! So it was a very long night for us, but a lot of fun. I’m not sure that season two was as good as season one, but it was really good.
