Sheep Guarding Llama

For the first time I got a chance last night to actually get some sleep.  Still very tired today but better than I have been this week.  I decided that today would be a day off from pretty much everything.  So I slept in as much as possible and we then spent a bit of the day getting to nearly the end of the first three seasons of Arrested Development so that we can move on to the new season on Netflix, hopefully tomorrow.

I went out and got Subway for lunch.  It is really handy having a Subway so close.

Liesl and I put in quite a bit of time playing Ankh 2 today.  We had a good time hanging out playing today.

I got to install and play Morrowind just a little bit today.  I’ve been wanting to really get going with this game for years but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

This evening some friends came over and hung out for a while.  So we didn’t end up going to bed until late, but we did get a delivery of rhubarb from New York which I hope to make into a pie.

Had to be up really early this morning because it is non-farm payroll.  So I was up around five thirty and into the office.  I got paged out just after six so my work day started an hour before even intended.  A long day in the making.

It was a busy day but my twelve thirty I was able to head up to Lewisville to meet Dan for lunch as he was heading down to the office.

This evening was busy at work.  I worked until six thirty then ran home and worked on till eight.  A fourteen hour day after a very long week.  Very tired.

I slept in a little this morning.  I needed that.  I did not even notice when Dominica got up and went to the office.  But she was barely gone when Liesl climbed into bed because of a bad dream where a bird came and took her away.  And then very soon Luciana was awake.  I tried to stay in bed for a while but that did not work out very well.

We are still going through the server issue at the office so I had to rush to get the kids ready and to get out of the door so that I could get in to work.  It made for a really hectic morning.

I got into the office and today was actually not all that busy once I was in.  By late afternoon the server outage that started early Monday morning was finally over.  I managed to actually get out at a decent time this evening too.

We all just hung out at the house this evening.  Dominica and I have been working to get through Arrested Development so that we can watch the new season that Netflix just released.

Had to be up at a quarter till six this morning.  I am very tired again today.  I had a call and then got right to work dealing with the server outage that kept me so busy yesterday.  I put in a few hours on that and then went in to the office.

I was hungry and got myself a sub at Subway on the way to the office.

Doue and I tried out the “Local Diner”, yes that is its actual name, right around the corner from the office.  It was nice.  I got a fish wrap which was a little bit like a diner take on a fish taco.

Got home at a relatively normal time.  Had to work all evening.  Just too much to be done.  Liesl didn’t listen to Dominica tonight and got in some trouble so had her evening of video games revoked tonight.  It was a good night for it, though, because I had to get work done.

I ended up working until three thirty in the morning!  I am going to be dragging tomorrow.

Extremely exhausted this morning when I got up at seven thirty, just five hours after having gone to bed, and getting straight back to work dealing with the server outage from yesterday.  Today is going to be a very long day.

I was so busy and so tired that I worked from home until after lunch.  The girls were happy to have me home again.  This turned into something like a four day weekend for them having me home for so long.

The office was like empty today which is why the boss wanted me to take the time to come in even though I had been working so many hours.  We were the only people from the team in the office.

After work I ran home, worked for another hour then we all ran down to Brookhaven for kid’s night.  The girls did pretty well there today although the picky food years have definitely started to hit us.

After dinner we came home and Liesl and I got to play her video game, Ankh 2, for a bit.  We completed Chapter 3 and got started on Chapter 4.  I can’t believe that it has been two weeks and she is still begging every day to play the game more.

Luciana is back to afternoon naps and putting herself to bed early.  I’m thinking that we’ve got a growth spurt being saved up for here.

Finally got to bed around midnight.  Still working on that server issue.  What a week this is going to be.  Have to be up really early tomorrow morning so very little sleep to be had tonight.
